Check In/out Information

  • Upon Arrival: Please check in office BEFORE setting up camp
  • Check in time: 3PM-8PM
  • Early Check-in is offered as early as noon. Fee of $10.00 is required per hookup or per site (pending site availability)
  • ABSOLUTELY NO CHECK-INS PRIOR TO NOON
  • Arriving late? Please call the office prior to 8PM to be registered over the phone.
  • Check out time is 2PM for all campsites & 11AM for RV Rental & Cabin Lodging
  • NO REFUNDS for Early Departures
  • Late Check-out: NOT permitted
  • Payment methods accepted for camping fees: check, credit card, money order or cash

Reservation Requirements

  • 3 Night Minimum required on Holiday weeks
  • 2 Night Minimum required on event weekends & weekends during peak season
  • Reservations are accepted up to 8 months in advance
  • GROUP SITES ONLY: All group site reservations have a set price per site & allow a max number of people. With our group sites ranging in sizes to accommodate anywhere from 6-20 people, each site has its own details and pricing. 50% down is required for group site reservations.

Campground Information & Rules

  • Day time visitors are welcome for a fee of $8 per person per day. Visitors have access to all amenities EXCEPT the pool area. Pool is for registered overnight campers only. All visitors MUST exit by 9pm.
  • ALL overnight campers MUST register in office prior to 8pm. Campers who choose to not register will be subject to double camping fees. Any guests choosing to not camp overnight MUST exit park prior to 9pm
  • Pets are allowed (no livestock)- pets must be kept on a leash at all times, cleaned up after and never left unattended.
  • No outside firewood allowed. Transporting firewood can increase the risk of an infestation. To prevent the many fungi, non-native and/or tree killing insects & diseases from wiping out our trees, we ask that no firewood be brought into the park. Wood sales are available on-site.   • Fire wood is available for purchase at $25 per wheelbarrow (3-4 bundles) or $7.50 per bundle. Delivery to campsite available for wheelbarrow, not bundles.
  • Fires are allowed in designated areas only. Do not move firepits.
  • Quiet Time is strictly enforced! At 10:00pm, radios & outdoor TVs off and no excessive noise is allowed. At Midnight all campers are expected to be quiet. Please keep music at a respectable level during non-quiet time hours
  • Golf Carts - All Golf Carts MUST provide proof of insurance at time of check-in. No Golf Carts to be driven between the hours of midnight - 7:30AM due to quiet time enforcement and the safety of campers. Golf Carts may only be driven by someone 21yrs or older with a valid drivers license.

  • Dumping is NOT open to the Public. park & sport courts close @10pm (all kids back to sites)

  • Do not break, cut or trim trees or bushes on the property. Wood sales are available.

  • No water balloons allowed in the campground
  • No pets allowed inside restrooms or pool area
  • Be aware of strong current in the river
  • "Peak Season" runs Memorial Day through the 3rd Sunday in September. Please note: MOST amenities are closed during NON-PEAK season.
  • We reserve the right to close the camp to those who do not respect the rights of other campers & to those who fail to follow enforced rules of the park.

Pool Rules

  • Children under 13yrs of age MUST be supervised by an adult (18yr+) at all times in the pool area.
  • No lifeguard on duty
  • No food in pool area
  • No glass in pool area
  • Depth of pool area - shallow end 3' & deep end 9'
  • Diving not allowed
  • Pool is heated on an average between 75-80 degrees but pending air temp, pool water can feel cooler.
  • Pool is for registered campers only. No guests allowed.
  • Pool floats are allowed but please keep them to a minimal in respect of other swimmers.
  • No water balloons in pool area.
  • No pets allowed in pool area
  • Squirt guns must be used with caution in respect of other campers.
  • Pool open daily 10a-10pm with adult swim being 9pm-10pm (18yr+)
  • Do not hang on rope. Rope is for safety to separate shallow end from deep end.

Cancellation Policy

We do not give credit or refunds due to the discomforts of nature. The fun continues hear rain or shine. Our cancellation policy varies depending on the timing of your cancellation notice in advance from your scheduled arrival date.
4+ WEEKS:
For reservations 28 nights or less: Refund minus $15 cancellation fee.
For reservations 28 nights or more, group site, and/or lodging reservations: Refund minus $50 cancellation fee.
2-4 WEEKS:
50% refund & 50% of reservation forfeited.
2 WEEKS OR LESS:
Full reservation forfeited.

 

 

 

QUIET TIME: strictly enforced.
-10PM all music, outdoor TV’s & the alike are to be turned OFF.
-Anyone 17yrs & under must be at their site or accompanied by an adult during quiet time hours.
-10PM-12AM is considered “mellow” time. No excessive noise will be tolerated.
-12AM-8AM you are expected to be quiet! Voices, laughter & all noise must be kept at a respectable low volume to not disturb any neighboring sites.
-We have the right to not tolerate inconsiderate guests, excessive profanity, issues resulting from high intoxication or violence towards other guests or park staff. Such behaviors may result in immediate removal from the park without refund.

PET POLICY: We are a pet friendly park & welcome all breeds.
-Pets must be kept on a leash & handled by someone who can physically control pet.
-Pets must be cleaned up after and may not disturb other guests.
-Signs of aggression will not be tolerated and will result in being asked to leave without refund.
-Pets are not to be left unattended outside for any reason.
-Pets may be placed on a cable at your site only; cable must be short enough to ensure pet cannot
reach road or adjacent sites.
-No pet is allowed in the pool area or any service building.
-Should your pet damage or cause injury, you accept full responsibility and any associated costs resulting from the incident.
-No Livestock or Exotic pets are permitted.
-If your pet is aggressive or out of control, we have the right to ask you to remove them from the park immediately. Should this result in you having to depart your stay early. No refund will be provided.

GUEST POLICY:
-Day Visitors pay $8 per person and must exit by 9pm
-Should a guest choose to camp, they must register to camp prior to 8pm.
-Double camp fees apply to guests who are found to be unregistered past 9PM.
-Guests are not allowed in the pool area.
Wi-Fi: we do offer free Wi-Fi to all campers.
Please note: given the general area of our park it can be spotty and slow at times.

VEHICLES:
-Speed limit is 5.5mph.
-All vehicles require a parking pass between the hours of 8AM-10PM.
-Vehicles found with no parking pass risk being towed at owner’s expense.
-Park vehicles on your site or in the designated overflow parking area.
-Do not block roadways or walking paths in anyway.
-You are not permitted to park on any adjacent sites.

CAMPFIRES:
-Outside firewood is not permitted.
-Firewood may be purchased at $25/wheelbarrow + tax, delivered to your site
OR $7.50/bundle + tax, take & carry.
-Fires are allowed in the designated areas only. DO NOT MOVE FIREPITS!
-Do not break, cut, trim or alter trees or bushes on the property.

PERSONAL GOLF CARTS:
-Proof of insurance is required & can be e-mailed to Office@chinookcampgroundmi.com prior to arrival.
-Cart itself must be in good working condition with working brakes & lights.
-Carts may only be driven by a sober driver who is 21yrs or older with a valid drivers license.
-ATV, Side by Sides & all other terrain style vehicles are not permitted within the park. Basic carts only.

RENTAL GOLF CARTS:
-Renter must be at least 25yrs of age with a valid Drivers License & a major Credit Card.
-Under NO circumstances is anyone under the age of 21 permitted to operate the golf cart.
-Under NO circumstances is anyone without a valid drivers license permitted to operate the cart.
-A rental contract must be signed at Check-in
-Smoking is NOT allowed on rental carts. Cigarette Burns will result in additional fees.
-Renters agree to not exceed more than four total riders at one time.
-Renters agree to abide by cart rules which are posted on the cart & listed in the contract

ALL GOLF CARTS (PERSONAL & RENTED):
-Must abide by the speed limit in the park of 5.5mph
-Must use headlights after dusk.
-Must not operate carts under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol for the safety of all.
-No reckless driving, off-roading, horseplay or the alike will be tolerated within the park.
-Carts are to stay parked during quiet time hours. 12AM-7:30AM
-Must have someone 21yrs or older operating the cart

POOL RULES:
-Pool is for registered campers only.
-Children 12yrs & under must have adult supervision at all times.
-Pool is open daily 10a-10p with adult swim (18yrs+) from 9p-10p.
-No Lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk
-No Alcohol, glass, food, loud music, rough play, running, diving, smoking & pets in pool area.
-Squirt guns & small pool floats are allowed at a minimum, please respect others.
-Any person not fully potty trained is required to wear a swim diaper.
-Pool depth ranges from 3’-9’.
-Please do not hang, sit or pull on the Pool Rope. It is there for your safety.
-Be courteous of others: splashing, jumping, pool games & ball throwing should be kept at a respectable level.
***Anyone not following the pool rules is subject to losing their pool privileges.

SPORT COURTS / PLAYGROUND:
-Open @ 8AM & close at dusk or 10pm whichever comes first.
-Children 17yrs & under must be at their campsites during quiet time hours

BIKES, SCOOTERS or the alike:
-Electric scooters & hoverboards are welcome. Please note: Roadways are dolomite
-Absolutely no ATV’s, dirt bikes, mini bikes or the alike allowed.
-Bikes, scooters, hoverboards & the alike must stay parked during quiet time hours. (10pm-8am)

ARCADE RULES:
-Open weekends 10a-10p. (If camping M-Th & would like arcade open, just ask.)
-All children 12yrs & under must have adult supervision within the arcade.
-Adults will be held 100% responsible for any damages their child makes within the game room.
-To protect our equipment: NO food, drink, sand, water or modes of transportation are permitted inside the game room. ***Anyone not following the arcade rules is subject to losing their arcade privileges.

RESTROOMS & SHOWERS:
-Open 24/7 with the exception of temporary closings for cleanings.
-We ask that you please assist us in keeping the restrooms clean by toweling off if you’re coming from
the pool or river prior to entering.
-Children under 12yrs must be supervised while using the facilities.
-No pets, sand or water toys are allowed inside the buildings.

LAUNDRY ROOM: Open 24/7
-Machines are coin operated. (Change machine is located in the Arcade building.)
-We ask that you not leave your laundry unattended.
-Chinook Campground is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.

TRASH DISPOSAL:
-Dumpsters are located on the east side of the playground & are to be used for daily camping related items only.
-Trash must be placed fully inside the receptacle; please do not leave trash at your site or outside the dumpsters.
-Items such as furniture, tires, mattresses, toxic chemicals, etc. are not permitted for disposal.

DUMP STATION:
-Located near the office & is for registered campers only. NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
-Your tank should be empty upon arrival. Should you need to dump prior to your stay, additional fees will apply based on the set dump rate.

SITE & PARK ETIQUETTE:
-Tents & Ground Cloths must be moved every 3rd day. No Exceptions.
-Please be respectful of your neighbors and do not walk through or between sites.
-Please use main roads or designated walking paths only when navigating through the park.
-All single sites have one picnic table & one fire ring. Group sites have 2-3 picnic tables pending their
size and most have a larger fire ring to gather around.
-Majority of our sites are all grass lots with several being in full sun. We do allow pop-up canopies or similar shade sources.
-Sites are to be kept free of non-camping related items.
-Please note: Wednesday is mow day. Our mow staff start at 8am.
-We do not charge for extra tents on the site. We charge per Adult (18yrs+). Kids camp free. Single sites allow a max of 4 adults per site.

ELECTRICAL USE:
-Please notify the office of any electrical issues during your stay so we can notify maintenance.
-Guests are not permitted to diagnose, alter or work on our pedestals per insurance & safety guidelines.
Even if you are an electrician, laws prohibit you unless hired to do so.

POWER OUTAGE:
-You are responsible for loss of food or other damage incurred due to a power loss of any kind such as
but not limited to, loss of power to the campground, electrical surge, voltage drop, accidental unplugging, etc.
-Chinook Campground is not liable for any electrical issues with your trailer.
-Refunds are not provided during power outages

FIREWORKS & FIREARMS:
-Prohibited fireworks include aerials, M80’s, or the alike.
-We do allow sparklers over the fourth of July on your site and under adult supervision only.
-We do hold a large firework display over the fourth, if you’d like to donate aerials to the show, you may bring them to the office upon arrival.
-Prohibited firearms include all guns as well as airsoft, BB and pellet guns. If these items are seen outside of your RV, you will be asked to leave immediately without refund.

LONG TERM STAY: (28 nights or more)
-Camp must remain looking clean and presentable throughout the entirety of your stay. It should look
like you are camping & not residing.
-Please limit storing items outside, around & under your trailer.
-No recliners, couches or the alike.
-Tents and ground cloth MUST be moved every 3rd day. No exceptions.
-Honey wagon services are available for purchase. Tanks & Valves must be accessible at time of service. If the cabinet is locked or tanks/valves are not accessible at time of service, the scheduled pump will be forfeited. No refund or re-scheduling permitted.

RIVER TRIPS:
-Start daily @10AM, earlier times are available by reservation 24hrs in advance.
-Last trip out is 4hrs prior to dark.
-No glass or Styrofoam allowed on the river; coolers are subject to inspection.
-Please bring a trash bag to prevent littering the river.
-Reservations are not required but are recommended on the weekends and for groups above 14.
-Your reservation time is NOT the time you are placed on the river.
-River trips are on a first come, first serve basis. That means, the first group here, 100% ready and paid
will be the first to be taken to the water. When making a reservation, this is to reserve equipment to ensure it’s available upon your arrival. If you do not arrive and pay prior to your reserved time slot, your items will be released for others to rent.
-Equipment items returned with damage beyond repair will result in additional fees.
-Please be aware of the strong current in the river, life vests are encouraged for your safety.

Disclosure:
We, Chinook Campground reserve the right to close camp to any person(s) who do not respect the rights of other campers and/or who fail to follow the above rules & policies of the park. Adults will be held fully responsible for any damage or injury caused by themselves, their guests, children and/or pets. Chinook Campground is not responsible for any theft, damage or stolen items. Chinook Campground has the right to update these policies at any time without notice.
By booking this reservation, you agree that you have read our rules & policies in full, reviewed them with all guests who plan to camp with you and agree to abide by them through the duration of your stay. You understand that going against the rules of the park could result in removal without refund and/or not being welcome back for future stays.
